hi + Card, at its core, relies on the public blockchain infrastructure to ensure the traceability of all critical  information. Designed with a privacy first approach, we found a way to provide the complete provenance of all  data points, without revealing any personal information about our customers.

We can achieve this by relying on the mathematical properties of Merkle trees, and storing only the result of the  hashes tree of all transactions executed on the platform. In this way, we do not need to store sensitive  information in the blockchain, but an irrefutable proof of each state of our database. This approach also allows us  to be 1000 times more efficient in terms of scalability, performance and costs, while protecting the necessary  tests to avoid design alterations.

High-level encryption codes

hi+Card's encryption system provides the highest level of security, with multi-factor authentication  and AES-256 symmetric cryptography on the client side. The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES)  is a U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS). It was selected after a 5-year process in  which 15 competing designs were evaluated.

High-level encryption codes make it possible to hide the content of messages from the naked eye, so  that a specific interaction is required to reveal that content.

Encryption is a procedure using a mathematical algorithm. These algorithms modify the text, so that  only by knowing the algorithm itself can the content be decrypted.
